I met Stephen in 2011 at my first Author Appearance in Pringle Bay, South Africa. Sadly Stephen died on 4 August 2018.

It is always a loss to the Literature Community when an author dies. The saddest is that most authors only come into their recognition once they leave this world.

This is a sobering moment, to stop and reflect on your own work and what you have accomplished thus far, as well as what you are leaving behind.

Stephen will be remembered as the author of controversial books. I will remember him as a brilliantly intelligent, soft-spoken gentleman just wanting to get his books out into the world.

To the public out there, now so eagerly wanting a copy of Stephen's work, I wish to ask one question. Where were you when he needed your sale while being a living, breathing, individual?

Support authors, artists and musicians while they are alive. It will make a difference in their lives.
