Leilaka Chapter 2 - The Chronicles of Han Storm Series - H Gibson - Author

LEILAKA Chapter 2

Trying desperately to sort out his befuddled memory, Han is captured. Not understanding the language makes it difficult to determine friend or foe . . .
"

Someone was asking me to wake up.

A familiar face was looking at me.

She had red hair and green eyes.

Her mouth did not move, yet I could hear her clearly.

A weight was pressing on my chest.

I could not breathe.

Panicked, I opened my eyes from this strange dream.

A shadow was blocking the entrance to my little cave.

This was not a dream.

Maybe if I kept still, they would not notice me.

Someone grabbed my foot.

I screamed at the person to let go, kicking out with my other foot, which was simply caught and used to drag me out of the hole.

Blinded by the sudden sunlight, I could only see shadows and light, but was determined not to be taken again.

Kicking and screaming, I yelled at them to leave me alone.

Two more shadows came forward.

My light body was quickly subdued by the man holding me. He simply restrained me by pinning my arms to my sides, lifting me off the ground. My legs could not reach him to inflict harm.

An authoritive voice gave me a command.

I stopped struggling, focusing on the older man.

He talked to me in a soothing way.

I felt I could trust this man.

He came forward. Taking hold of my chin, he inspected my face before asking me a question.

I did not understand his language, so kept quiet. "

Leilaka Chapter 1 - The Chronicles of Han Storm Series - H Gibson - Author

LEILAKA Chapter 1

Han wakes up from Crio-sleep to find himself in the worst possible situation . . .

"There was nothing but incredible pain. Every breath I drew brought more pain to my body.

Pain.

Breathe out.

Pain.

Breathe out.

I moved my body to a more comfortable position. My left arm and leg were hanging free, a gentle breeze playing over them.

Come to think of it, the breeze was ruffling my hair.

Slowly rolling onto my side, I brought my limbs back towards my body.

Willing my eyes to open and see what was going on, I discovered that I was lying on a narrow ledge.

The movement brought new pains and my nose started to bleed.

Closing my eyes against the glare of sunlight, I managed to sit up, holding my ribs together with my left hand. My right hand did not want to respond.

Dragons are not horses

Dragons are not Horses!

Except from Chronicles of Han Storm - Leilaka:

"
I dreamt of Huracan inside caves on the other side of the city, a minute's flying distance from Floverne.
Sheltered in their catacombs, I recognized the area where I had been when Moira had hatched.
A huge green dragon stood in the entrance of a cave, patiently waiting for other Huracan to wake up properly. Some grumbled, stretching in their caverns, some fell about, giddy from their long sleep.
   All were ravenously hungry.
The huge dragon scuttled outside, into the snow. Picking up its head, it tested the air. The wind was blowing in from the City.
Backing up a step, it extended itself forward and up, bellowing a challenge that could be felt within the air-currents . . . "

Upon a dragon's love, other dimensions, elves, hunting and metaphysical upgrades

Upon a dragon's love, other dimensions, elves, hunting and metaphysical upgrades

Extract: The Chronicles of Han Storm - Leilaka

"  Moira was waiting for me at the exit from the Faery Dimension. I was surprised to find her there, even more so because she was saddled with a double saddle.
She huffed lovingly at me, touching my shoulder with her soft muzzle, making me want to kiss her on her velvet nose.
Before the thought could become an action she put her head in front of my chest, shoving me firmly into the oak tree from which I had just appeared.
For a moment I feared that I would tumble back into the Faery realm but my shoulders hit the solid surface, the back of my head smacking hard against the trunk.
*Jays, Moira! Stop it!* I shouted at my Huracan. *What is wrong with you?*
She seemed excited and at the same time agitated.
**You respond** she told me, poking me again with her nose on my shoulder, as if to assure herself that I was truly standing before her.
*Why would I not respond to you? We are inseparable* I replied, trying to dodge away from the tree, just to end up being pinned to it again.
**I lost you!** she wined for a second, pushing so hard into me that I could no longer breathe.
"Let go!" I wheezed at her. "I'm here! I'm back!"
She relaxed her hold a bit and I could breathe again, convinced my bow would leave its imprint in purple bruises on my back in a few minutes.
She found this thought humorous, backing up a bit more. **I'll heal you. Just NEVER, EVER leave again without telling me!**
*Oh!* I thought at her. So that was why she was so upset. *I will inform you next time I want to leave.*
**I do not want to be without you, Han** she told me. **You are part of me. I do not like it when we are not together.**
I sighed. Sometimes it was better to be alone for a while, but she did not like it when we were separated and I got that message, loud and clear, having the bruises to prove it!
